Vegas Golden Knights Win Game 1 Against Dallas Stars
Golden Knights take 1-0 series lead
Stone scores twice in return to lineup
The Vegas Golden Knights took a 1-0 lead in their Western Conference First Round series against the Dallas Stars with a 4-1 victory in Game 1 on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena.
Mark Stone, who missed the final 11 games of the regular season with an upper-body injury, returned to the lineup and scored two goals for the Golden Knights. Chandler Stephenson and Jonathan Marchessault also scored for Vegas, while William Karlsson had two assists.
Jake Oettinger started in goal for the Stars and made 36 saves on 40 shots. Logan Thompson made 29 saves on 30 shots for the Golden Knights.
The Stars will host the Golden Knights in Game 2 on Friday night at American Airlines Center.
