Early Life and Career

Aaron Kampman was born in Peoria, Illinois, on September 21, 1980. His family moved to Pella, Iowa, when he was young, and he attended Pella High School. Kampman was a standout football player in high school, earning all-state honors. He also played basketball and baseball. After graduating from high school, Kampman attended the University of Iowa, where he played football for the Hawkeyes. He was a three-time All-Big Ten selection and was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2002.

Kampman was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He quickly became a key member of the Packers' defense, starting 16 games in his rookie season. Kampman was a member of the Packers' Super Bowl XLV championship team in 2011. He was also named to the Pro Bowl twice, in 2006 and 2007.

Retirement and Post-Playing Career

Kampman retired from the NFL after the 2010 season. He has since worked as a football analyst for ESPN and the Big Ten Network. He is also involved in several charitable organizations, including the Aaron Kampman Foundation, which provides support to families affected by cancer.

Hall of Fame Induction

Kampman was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 2020. He is the 14th player from the Packers' Super Bowl XLV championship team to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
